Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, sets Jr World Record, wins gold

Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar had a good run on Monday as he won gold in 50m Rifle three positions men’s event by creating a new junior world record at the ISSF Junior World Championships in Lima.

The 20 years old dominated the qualification round and went a step ahead in the final to break the record. He equalled the junior world record of 1185 during the qualification stage.

In the final, He finished with a record score of 463.4. France’s Lucas Bernard Denis Kryzs finished second, was 6.9 behind the score of the Indian.

This was India’s 8th Gold medal.

On Sunday, India swept the 10m air pistol medal events, winning four out of six gold on offer and two silvers.
