Anshu becomes 1st Indian woman to win silver in World Wrestling Championships

Anshu Malik scripted history on Thursday when she grabbed silver in the World Wrestling championships in Oslo, Norway. With that medal, she became the first Indian woman to win silver in World Wrestling Championship.

Anshu produced an excellent show to trouble two-time Olympic medalist Helen Maroulis of the USA in the final.

Despite her ankle injury which she picked up in quarterfinal, Anshu showed some fighting skills.

The 20-year-old went a step ahead of five other Indian women who had previously won Bronze Medal at this event.
