Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday announced that the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain will be offered the DSP position.
Apart from that, a road in Guwahati will be named after the boxer.
The Chief Minister also announced that the Government will be constructing a stadium in her home town Golaghat and will be name after her.
The Government also announced Rs 10 Lakhs prize money for her coach.
Lovlina Borgohain became just the third boxer to win an Olympic medal for the country recently.
