Coach Ravi Shastri COVID19 test returns positive, 4 India staff isolated

Indian head coach Ravi Shastri’s lateral flow test for coronavirus had returned positive as four support staff of the Indian cricket team have been isolated.

According to the BCCI’s official release, The head coach Shastri, the bowling coach Bharat Arun, the fielding coach R Sridhar and physiotherapist Nitin Patel are isolated as a precautionary measure.

“They have undergone RT-PCR testing and shall remain in the team hotel and not travel with Team India until confirmation from the medical team,” said a statement from BCCI.

The other cricketers are allowed to continue the game as their lateral test results came negative
