The schedule for the upcoming T20 tournament in the Commonwealth Games has been announced on Friday.
India will take on Australia in the first match. The T20 competition in the Commonwealth Games will begin on July 29th.
The hosts England will play their first match against the winner of the qualifying tournament on July 30.
The qualifying tournament is scheduled to begin early 2022.
India, Australia, Pakistan and Barbados are placed in Group A while England, South Africa, Qualifying team and New Zealand are placed in Group B.
The semi-final of the games will take place in the first week of August while the final will be played on August 7th.
The Bronze medal match (between the losers of two semi-finals) will be played on the same day, earlier to the final.

Birmingham 2022 will be the first time that T20 cricket has been included in the Games and it is also the first time that women’s cricket has been included here.
