Young bowlers Stella Campbell and Lauren Bell have been added to the respective Ashes Test squad.
Stella Campbell, who is a part of A-team squad that will take on England A team, has been promoted to the main squad as a like-for-like replacement to injured Tayla Vlaeminck.
Vlaeminck has injured her right foot and is ruled out of the Ashes and the upcoming World Cup in New Zealand. The young pacer had the same injury in 2020 which had ruled her out of the T20 World Cup that year.
Stella Campbell makes it to the team after an impressive run in the recent WNCL match. In the contest against ACT, Campbell returned with 7 for 25.
On the other hand, England had added Lauren Bell into their Test squad.
The 21-year-old impressed everyone during the T20 series against Australia A. In one of the matches, Bell returned with 3 for 17. Though England A had lost that match, her performance was highly appreciated.
