The ICC has released the fixture for the upcoming Men’s World Cup T20. India and Pakistan are placed in the same group once again.
The tournament will begin on October 16th with Sri Lanka and Namibia sweating it out in the first round. While 12 teams have already qualified for the World Cup, the other four teams will be determined through the Global Qualifying tournament. The first round matches will go on until 21st October.
Sri Lanka and Namibia are in Group A in the first round and they will be joined by two other qualifiers. Scotland and West Indies are in Group B and they will be joined by two Qualifying teams as well.
The Super 12 matches will begin from 22nd October and it will be the repeat of the last edition’s final. The hosts and defending champions Australia will lock horns with New Zealand.
India will play their first game on 23rd October against Pakistan.
India are played in Group B along with Pakistan, South Africa and Bangladesh. Whereas, Australia are placed in Group A along with England, New Zealand and Afghanistan.
The final of the tournament will be played on 13th November at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
