Mithali Raj returns to World Number one in ODI rankings

Indian ODI captain Mithali Raj has returned to World Number one in the ODI rankings for the first time since 2018.

Mithali Raj was in excellent form against England where she had scored three fifties and played a match-winning knock of 75* in the last outing.

Mithali began the series at number eight and moved on to number five after the 2nd ODI and now, is at the top spot.

She gained that position for the first time in 2005 April, after her brilliance in the semi-final of the World Cup 2005.

She is the first player to be on top, 16 years apart.

India, however, went on to lose the ODI series 2-1 to the hosts. Now, they will enter the T20I series.
