Bangladesh have completed a famous Test win in New Zealand, their first against the team, to put an end to New Zealand’s 17-match winning streak at home.
Led by Ebadat Hossain’s six-wicket haul, Bangladesh reduced the hosts to 169 in their second innings and then chased down the target of 40 runs with ease.
In the first innings, Devon Conway led the New Zealand’s batting attack with a brilliant hundred. Later, Henry Nicholls’ 75 helped the hosts to get to 328.
In return, the visitors came up with an all-around performance to take the 1st innings lead. Mominul Haque and Liton Das got to their half-centuries respectively as Bangladesh ended with 458.
The early wickets, especially, the fall of Devon Conway took the hosts back and they needed something special from their middle order. Unfortunately, the Ebadat Hossain’s spell proved too good for them as Bangladesh completed a famous Test victory in New Zealand.
