Chennai Super Kings will miss out on the services of Ravindra Jadeja as the all-rounder has been ruled out for the remaining season of IPL 2022.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed the news earlier. “Yes he is ruled out, he has a bruised rib. He is out of the IPL,” Viswanathan said.
There was an official statement regarding his injury.
“Ravindra Jadeja reported a bruised rib and was unavailable for Chennai Super Kings’ game against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. He was under observation and based on medical advice he has been ruled out for the rest of the IPL season,” an official CSK release stated.
Ravindra Jadeja’s performance this season has been below par. He was handed the captaincy from MS Dhoni but the all-rounder couldn’t lead his team to victories. To make things worse, the captaincy began to take a toll on his personal performance as well.
As a result, the team management spoke to Jadeja and everyone mutually felt that it wasn’t the right time for him and MS Dhoni took over the captaincy once again.
The defending champions CSK are almost out of contention for the playoffs. If they fail to make it to the next round, it will be just the second time that the team couldn’t get through to the playoffs.
