The Indian-Chinese pair Sania Mirza and Zhang Shuai won the Ostrava Open doubles title on Sunday.
The pair defeated Kaitlyn Christian and Erin Routliffe in straight sets to lift the trophy.
Kaitlyn Christian of the United States and Erin Routliffe of New Zealand went down to the pair by 6-3, 6-2 in an hour and four minutes.
This is the first title for Sania Mirza since January 2020. She made a comeback after taking a break from the game and had won the Hobart International in 2020 partnering with Nadia Kichenok.
On the other hand, Zhang has won three of her last five tournaments.
The pair dominated right from the beginning in the final. They had the first set after breaking in the sixth game.
In the second set, they broke twice, in the third and seventh game to win the trophy. This is Sania Mirza’s 43rd doubles title.
