The Hundred Women Final: Oval Invincibles lift the trophy

In two eventful days, Marizanne Kapp showed up when her team needed her the most. Both days, she had Alice Capsey playing the supporting role.

After so much hype, we finally headed to the Lord’s in hope of an excellent contest as Southern Brave waited for Oval Invincibles in the final.

Unfortunately, the Brave couldn’t match up with what Invincibles brought to the game.

To begin with, all their top order except Adams got to a good score with Kapp scoring 26 from 14. The team ended with 121 for 6 from their 100. Shrubsole and Bell had a couple of wickets of each for the team.

In return, Kapp ran through the batting order of Brave as the latter found themselves at 6 for 3. Stafanie Taylor tried to put up a fight but skipper Niekerk got rid of her for 18. In the end, Tara Norris and Fi Morris had a tiny stand to save team from embarrassment.

However, it was just too late for the team as Invincibles went on to win by 48 runs.
