Tokyo Paralympics- Bhavina Patel wins silver

India grabs their first medal in the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.

Paddler Bhavina Patel scripts history by winning the Silver in Para Table Tennis.

The medal comes in women’s singles Class 4 event at Tokyo Paralympics

She had lost the match to China’s Ying Zhou 11-7, 11-5, 11-6.

Bhavina had lost to Ying in her opening match as well and also had lost eight matches against Ying.

Earlier, 34-year-old, on the wheelchair, had defeated World No. 3 China’s Miao Zhang at Tokyo to enter the final.

This is the first Olympic medal for India in Para Table Tennis. Fifth silver Olympic medal overall in the history.

Also, she becomes the second woman para athlete since Deepa Malik to win a silver for India.
