Unmukt Chand scores fifty in Minor League 2021

Unmukt Chand has smashed an unbeaten fifty in the Minor League, his first tournament post-India retirement.

The former Indian cricketer had retired from India cricket and had moved the USA to play in Minor League Cricket.

The cricketer represents Silicon Valley Strikers here. After taking a few matches to settle in, Chand found his form for the team against Golden State Grizzlies at Morgan Hill.

Opting to field first, Chand’s team did well to reduce them for 131 in their 20 overs. Karan Chandel led the team’s attack with 45 runs.

For Strikers, Abhishek Paradkar and Pranay Suri were the star performers with the ball. Paradkar had three wickets while Suri had two.

In return, the openers Chand and Buch batted well to take the team to a good start. The latter made 44 from 31 before getting out for 73.

Strikers then lost two wickets cheaply. However, Chand made sure to take the team home with an unbeaten 56. He even smashed a six to reach his fifty.
