The ongoing series between West Indies and Pakistan is under threat as five more members of the visiting party have tested positive.
Based on the tests taken on Wednesday, the reports of five members had returned positive and they will undergo self- isolation until their next test result.
Experienced Shai Hope, left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, allrounder Justin Greaves; along with Assistant Coach Roddy Estwick, and Team Physician Dr Akshai Mansingh are the five members. Earlier, Kyle Mayers, Roston Chase and Sheldon Cottrell had tested positive and is currently in self-isolation.
While the latter three was ruled out of the T20I series, they potentially will return for the ODIs. On the other hand, the other five members will have to undergo ten days isolation, leaving them with no choice but to miss the whole ODI series. Devon Thomas, who has picked up an injury earlier during T20I series, has been ruled out of the ODI series as well.
The officials of Pakistan Cricket Board and Cricket West Indies will meet on Thursday to discuss whether to go ahead with the series or not.
Pakistan had won the first two T20Is and the third match is scheduled to happen on Thursday.
