TN Govt announces Rs 1000 relief for 13 lakh differently abled in the state

Tamil Nadu government has announced Rs 1000 relief measure for close to 13 lakh differently abled people in the state.

Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami announced that there are around 13.35 lakh people with differently abled identity card in the state who will benifit from the measure.

This announcement has comes after the state has announced next set of relief measure of Rs 1000 for rice ration card holders and workers from the unorganised sectors.

The state government has announced complete lockdown in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu and Thiruvallur districts from June 19 to the end of this month.

The government had already distributed two rounds of Rs 1000 per ration card since the first lockdown happened in March.

They have also provided Rs 2000 in two installments to 14,667 members of the State welfare board for hairdressers and other sectors as well.
