Keerthy Suresh on nepotism: At the end, nothing but talent survives

Actress Keerthy Suresh recently opened up to Hindustan Times regarding nepotism and the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput.

She said that she doesn’t know what a person goes through to take such a decision, whether it is a depression or anything else. She added that she feels bad and further said that she believes,” Everyone is stronger than they think”.

“Probably thirty or forty years ago, life was simpler. So, understand what are the things you’re missing out on; talk to people around you, don’t stay alone,” adds the Mahanati actor.

Talking about Nepotism, the actress admits that she got an opportunity because her parents from the industry and filmmaker Priyadarshan is her dad’s friend.

“Yes, I did get a debut because Priyan (filmmaker Priyadarshan) uncle is my dad’s friend. He gave me that opportunity. Going further, it’s not like I have my dad and mom telling me how to go about everything. They usually don’t get involved,” she said.

She said that for her, it is important to keep up the pace and impress the audience with her performances and it is not easy for her either. Adding more, she said, for an outsider, getting an entry and surviving in the industry is difficult, “but at the end, nothing but talent survives”.

On the work front, she was last seen in Penguin which released on OTT and had mixed reviews.
