IPL 2019: Harbhajan confirms that Watson played with a bleeding knee!

Chennai Super Kings who met Mumbai Indians in the final of IPL 2019, lost the match in a thriller by one run. It was the opener Shane Watson’s 80 off 59 deliveries that almost gave CSK a victory. Barring drop catches, Watson played an excellent knock, taking on MI bowlers but unfortunately, he ran out in the final over of the match, which changed the course of the game.

Now, Harbhajan Singh revealed in his Instagram story that the man who almost gave CSK their fourth trophy was actually playing with a bleeding knee which needed stitches after the match.

His story:

Watson has always been one of the most passionate cricketers in the world and he didn’t bowl for CSK fearing injury, but unfortunately, he injured himself and what will hurt more is that he couldn’t help the team cross the line by one run. You got to give it to the dedication of Shane Watson who, despite all these not only tried to run fast but also took a dive to save his wicket. This might be his last IPL considering he already called it a day with BBL, if it is, this is going to stay with him, with the players, with the fans forever.

All these efforts and there are people who end up calling that it’s a fixed tournament.
