With the World Cup is just a few days away, all the captains attended the interaction and the photoshoot session recently.
During the session, all the captains were asked to reveal a “dream” player whom they would love to have in their team.
The Indian captain Virat Kohli said he would want the South African captain Faf du Plessis on his team. Whereas, Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed wants English wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler. While Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza wanted Virat Kohli in his side, Australia’s Aaron Finch opted for South African pacer Kagiso Rabada. The New Zealand captain Kane Williamson wanted his Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate Rashid Khan whereas England captain Eoin Morgan said he didn’t want a player but the coach Ricky Ponting. The newly appointed Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne wanted Ben Stokes on his side.
South Africa’s Faf du Plessis made three choices instead of one; named Jasprit Bumrah, Pat Cummins and Rashid Khan.
Windies skipper Jason Holder, though, didn’t name anyone and noted that he was happy with his team.
Afghanistan skipper Gulbadin Naib gave a smart answer to the question and said that it depends on the day and the conditions.
The World Cup starts on May 30, and the warm-up matches begin on May 24th.
