Corey Anderson retires from international cricket

New Zealand cricketer Corey Anderson has retired from international cricket after accepting 3-year contract with the Major League Cricket T20 in the United States of America.

According to Cricbuzz, Anderson confirmed the news saying,
“It’s been a huge honor and extremely proud to represent New Zealand. I would have loved to have achieved and played more but just is what it is sometimes, and different opportunities arise and send you in a direction you never thought would be a possibility. Very appreciative for everything that NZC has done for me.”

He also added that his fiance had a major role in this decision. He said that she had sacrificed a lot in her life to be with Anderson and family. Now, the couple has decided that moving to America is the best for his cricket career as well as their lives.

Anderson, 29, has represented New Zealand in more than 90 games across three formats.
