IND vs ENG: World’s largest Stadium renamed as Narendra Modi stadium

India’s president Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. Now, the stadium as been renamed as Narendra Modi Stadium.

During the inauguration, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present.

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju said that this is one of the best stadiums in the world.

Along with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, Rijiju visited the stadium a day before the inauguration.

India will take on England in the first match at the stadium right after inauguration ceremony.

This will be a day-night Test and is certainly an important one as both the teams are tied at 1-1 in the series at the moment.
