Bhuvneshwar Kumar ruled out for at least two matches!

The ESPN Cricinfo confirms that the Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has picked up a hamstring injury in his left leg and could miss two or three matches in the World Cup.

While bowling on Sunday, Bhuvneshwar Kumar had to walk back after bowling just 2.4 overs and had to walk back because of the stiffness he felt in the left hamstring.

The Indian all-rounder Vijay Shankar was called in to cover up the remaining deliveries, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar didn’t bowl in the rest of the match, and thankfully, it wasn’t needed as well.

Virat Kohli at the post-match presentation mentioned that even Bhuvneshwar Kumar thought the injury is a slight niggle. Now, the reports reveal that his injury is quite serious than that.

Kohli also added that the team is not so worried about the situation as they have Mohammed Shami as the direct replacement who is raring to go.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the second Indian to pick up an injury in the ongoing World Cup after the Indian Opener Shikhar Dhawan.
