Special Olympics: India’s medal tally closes at 368!

The Indian athletes make history by winning more than 350 medals in the Special Olympics, their best performance till date. A total number of 80+ athletes represented India (compared to USA’s 300+) in the Special Olympics held in Abu Dhabi from March 14 to March 21.

In total, India had won 368 medals with 85 Golds, 154 Silver, 129 Bronze. In powerlifting alone, India had 96 medals to their name.

Though this is the first time India had participated in Futsal and Judo, they were able to win medals for the country. In Judo, India had three Gold medals and a Silver while in Futsal India bagged seven silvers.

India should be proud of their athletes for doing really well in the World Games. Unfortunately, nobody cares.
