Bigg Boss: ‘Kamal Sir admires me’, says Yashika Aannand

Actress Yashika Aannand who acted in a few movies like Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu, Zombie, Nota, gained popularity with her stint in Bigg Boss season 2.

Talking about the show to The Hindu, the actress says that the audience was initially shocked but they accepted her as the show went on.

“I think Tamil audiences were initially shocked to see the kind of attitude I carried on the show. But they grew to accept me as a young millennial — one who takes decisions independently. That, I consider, real success. People learnt not to judge a book by its over, and accepted me wholeheartedly. So what if I wore a crop top and shorts? Women from traditional families call me their ‘daughter’ if they see me in public.” says Yashika.

She added that her biggest takeaway from the show was the legend Kamal Haasan’s words.

“After my eviction, Kamal Haasan told me that he hasn’t met anyone like me, and that he admires me. I don’t think he’s said that to anyone before!” she recalls.

On the work front, the actress will be seen in a special cameo in Arav’s Raja Bheema and she is currently busy shooting for ‘Ivan than Uthaman’
