After losing the first match of the series, Australia came back stronger in the second to grab a win by 81 runs.
Australia batted first and the keeper Redmayne produced a brilliant unbeaten ton. She scored 113 in 128 deliveries. She had the support of Patterson and Graham who had starts. However, the show-stealer was Burns who smashed five sixes and 13 fours for her 107 off 59 deliveries.
Australia ended with 315 in their 50 and the Indian bowlers were all expensive.
In return, India had a good start as Priya Punia and Shafali Varma produced a 98-run partnership for the opening wicket. Shafali got out for 46. Veda Krishnamurty scored a fighting 40 runs and built a partnership Priya Punia who went on to smash 100.
However, it wasn’t enough as Sutherland ran through the lower order batting of the Indian team to end with four wickets and gave the team an 81-run win.
