Ashwin to take a break from IPL 2021

Delhi Capitals all-rounder R Ashwin announced that he will be taking a break from the on-going Indian Premier League.

He took to twitter to announce the same after Delhi’s win over Hyderabad on Sunday.

Ashwin wrote, “I would be taking a break from this years IPL from tomorrow. My family and extended family are putting up a fight against #COVID19 and I want to support them during these tough times.”

He also added, “I expect to return to play if things go in the right direction. Thank you @DelhiCapitals.”

The second wave of Coronavirus has hit the country worse and there are huge number of cases come in every single day.

Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League will continue irrespective of the cases in Delhi as the officials trust the bio-bubble.
