Cardiac issue: Muralitharan admitted to hospital

Sri Lankan cricketer Muralitharan has been admitted to hospital in Chennai after cardiac issue.

He underwent an angioplasty procedure and is currently stable. According to reports, he had a stent fitted to unblock an artery.

Muralitharan, who turned 49 on Saturday, is currently in Chennai as he is a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad coaching team and is expected to join the team soon.

An official update from the hospital will be given soon.
