ENGLAND THRASH AUSTRALIA FOR THE SECOND TIME!

Australia is yet to come out of the Ashes celebrations but the limited over game haven’t gone their way so far. Coming from a hefty defeat in the first match, the hosts wanted to do better. With Hazlewood down and out, Richardson was given a go.

Opting to bat first, Australian openers had starts, which Finch converted to yet another fantastic ton. No one down the order provided a contribution, as Australia scored 270 in their 50 overs.

If you ask, This is just a par and for a team like England who is doing astonishingly well in the limited overs, it was easy. Roy went early this time but Bairstow and Hales added 117 together. Root and Butler provided a similar partnership and Woakes scored 30 odd at the end to guide the team to a fabulous win. Root was the player of the match for his all-round performance.

England now leads the five-match series two nil.
