He will be an all-time great in all formats: Ganguly about Pant

Former Indian captain and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly took to social media to appreciate Rishabh Pant for his brilliance on Day 2 of the 4th Test between India men and England men.

He wrote-

“How good is he? Unbelievable..what a knock under pressure…not the first time and won’t be the last time..will be an all time great in all formats in the years to come.keep batting in this aggressive manner .thats why will be match winner and special..@bcci @RishabhPant17″(sic)

On a pitch where whole of the England batters suffered, India had a good day, thanks to the lower order.

India began Day 2 poorly as they went on to lose Pujara and Kohli early. Soon, Rahane followed before the lunch. Rohit, who played well on the day, had 49 runs.

However, the day totally belonged to Rishabh Pant who began to take on bowlers. He had 13 fours and 2 sixes for his 101. He had support from Washington Sundar who is currently unbeaten on 60.

For England, Stokes was the star performer as he went on to remove Kohli and Sharma in the innings. Anderson also had three wickets, Leach had two.

India ended their day at 294 for 7 with Washington and Axar Patel at the crease.
