IND v SA Women, 5th T20I: Kaur shines in low-scoring contest

India took on South Africa in the fifth match of the T20I series and it was a low-scoring affair.

The pitch and the climate played it’s part as well. India opted to bowl first and Radha Yadav’s three wickets which was rightly complimented by the other bowlers helped India to restrict the visitors to just 98.

In return, India lost quick wickets as well. The play was getting difficult for the batters but Harmanpreet Kaur took it to herself to play a gem of a knock of 30* from 31.

Of course, there was no hurry and all India needed to do was build partnership.

India chased down the total in 17.1 overs and finally sealed the series.

Harmanpreet Kaur, who became the second Indian to score 2000 runs in women’s T20I, was awarded the player of the match.

The next match is scheduled on fourth, that’s tomorrow night.
