India announce squad for England series, Indrani Roy gets a maiden call up

India will be touring for England where there will play a Test match for the first time in years. The tour also has three ODIs and as many T20Is. Right after the end of the tour, a few players will stay behind to play in the inaugural edition of the Hundred.

The Indian team will gather on May 18th and will do a two-week quarantine before flying to the UK via a charter flight. The central contract for the team is yet to be announced.

Recently, India has appointed Ramesh Powar as the coach once again. Powar has replaced WV Raman who took India to the final in the World Cup T20 in March 2020.

Powar has coached the team earlier in 2018 and had quit after the T20 World Cup 2018.

Indrani Roy, who did well in the Senior One-day Trophy gets a maiden call-up while Sneh Rana makes a comeback after a long time.

India also has picked Pooja Vastrakar and Shikha Pandey is back too.
