Indian men’s archery team books Tokyo 2020 Olympics berth!

The Indian men’s recurve team-Tarundeep Rai, Praveen Jadhav and Atandu Das-booked a Tokyo Olympics berth after they qualified for the quarter-finals of the World Archery Championships with a 5-3 win over Canada in the second round game in Den Bosch, the Netherlands on Wednesday.

India dominated in the first two sets but Canada bounced back to take the third. Then India shot a 7 off the final attempt to finish 57-57 in the fourth set to bag a point each.

This also ensures the three individual participation at the Olympics.

India will now take on Chinese Taipei next in the round of eight at the championships.
