Akshay Kumar will be seen in Laxmmi Bomb next along side Kiara Advani. The film is a remake of Tamil film Kanchana which starred Raghava Lawrence as the lead.
Raghava Lawrence is directing the Hindi remake and the film is all set to release in Disney+ Hotstar.
Talking about the film in a webinar, Akshay Kumar said that this is his most mentally-intensive role ever.
“This was the most mentally-intensive role I have ever played in my life, and the credit of getting that right goes to my director Lawrence. He introduced me to a version of myself I didn’t know existed. I am playing the role of a transperson, and I was aware that I must do this with full honestly because I don’t want to offend any community.”
He continued, “Not just that, playing this role has definitely given me more understanding of gender and gender equality and also given me more lessons to not be ignorant about people around us.”
