This clash between Punjab and Kolkata has always provided excitement as both the teams consist of some brutal power-hitters. Remember last season where KKR managed a mammoth 245 and KXIP fell just 30 runs short?
With players like Gayle, Rahul, Pooran for KXIP and Rana, Lynn, Russell, Karthik for KKR both the teams look good when it comes to batting. In the bowling department also both the teams have an equally good number of spinners with Ashwin, Mujeeb on one side, Kuldeep, Piyush and Sunil Naraine on the other.
Both the teams struggled with the selection of pacers. For Punjab, with the return of 2018’s purple cap holder Tye, they will be confident enough. Though Miller is available his inclusion into the side is doubtful today.
Coming to Kolkata, despite having Lockie Ferguson, Prasidh Krishna they will heavily rely on their spin trio.
