STR’s Maanadu insured for Rs 30 crores

Days ago, we witnessed a tragedy on the sets of Indian 2 and the impact of the same will remain with us forever.

Now, the producer of Maanadu, Suresh Kamatchi says that he had taken insurance for his cast and crew even before the Indian 2 incident. “It is a common practice when it comes to big-budget films,” says the producer.

Revealing the details about the insurance, he says, “We have insured the cast and crew for approximately Rs 30 crore. The premium comes to Rs 7.8 lakhs, including GST.” He adds that the insurance will cover any member who works on the film during its production.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the movie stars STR and Kalyani Priyadharshan as the leads.
