I am sure Kuldeep will bounce back strongly: Jacques Kallis

With World Cup in sight and with IPL being the last competition for the Indian team before the World Cup, there are a lot of talks about the form of the players in the squad.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav who is one of the vital cogs in the Indian team had a below-par tournament in the IPL so far and in a match, we even saw him break down after RCB’s Moeen Ali smashed him all over the park. After the match, Kuldeep was dropped from the team and considering the World Cup, this wasn’t a great sign for him.

However, KKR head coach Jacques Kallis doesn’t feel that there is too much to worry about Kuldeep’s form. “He didn’t have a good season so far and the reason behind it is that the wickets in Eden Gardens didn’t spin at all this year. But as far as the World Cup is concerned, I don’t think there is any need to panic. It will be a completely different format and I am sure he will bounce back strongly,” Kallis said on the eve of KKR’s game against KXIP.

The former South African cricketer also said that despite finding no place in the playing XI in the last few games, Kuldeep has continued to work hard in the nets with all intensity.

With three teams already qualified for the playoffs, every single match from now on will be close and is a virtual eliminator. Kolkata will take on Punjab today.
