Police arrests teacher who made 1Cr by working in 25 schools simultaneously

A teacher who worked in 25 schools simultaneously got arrested by UP police recently.

Anamika Shukla, a science teacher, was found to be working 25 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) and collected Rs 1 crore in salaries over a period of 13 months has been arrested by police in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj district.

Speaking to the media, Kasganj basic education officer Anjali Aggarwal said, “Anamika sent her resignation to my office on Saturday afternoon through a friend who was detained by us. Police was immediately called and the teacher who committed fraud was arrested close to the office in a car with the help of staff members.”

The police immediately took her to the local police station and her interrogation is underway.

This happened after the head of the school made a digital record of the officials of the school.

The UP education minister now has ordered to do personal verification of the teachers as well.
