Saroj Khan passes away at 71

Famous choreographer Saroj Khan passed away at 71 after being admitted in hospital on June 20 following difficulties in breathing. She died at the Gurunanak Hospital due to cardiac arrest.

Her last rites will be performed at Malvani in Malad at Mumbai today.

In a career spanning over four decades, she recorded more than 2000 songs.

The three-time National Award winner had choreographed for some of the most memorable tracks, including ‘Dola Re Dol’ from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Devdas’, ‘Ek Do Teen’ from Madhuri Dixit-starrer ‘Tezaab’ and ‘Ye Ishq Haaye’ from ‘Jab We Met’ in 2007.
