Indian Premier League to be held in UAE, Brijesh Patel, the IPL Governing Council chairman, confirmed to ESPNcricinfo today.
An official announcement for the same will be made during the body’s next official meet.
This announcement came after ICC’s official announcement to postpone the men’s T20I World Cup due to COVID19 complications.
BCCI earlier stated that they are looking to conduct IPL from September 26 to November 8. However, an official announcement on the same is awaited too.
Meanwhile, Indian women’s team will not travel to England for tri-series which also involve South Africa due to COVID19 complications. Also, BCCI is yet to form selection Committee for the women’s cricket. There is no official word on women’s T20 challenge which usually takes place alongside men’s IPL.
