Australia’s left-handed batter Usman Khawaja and his wife Rachel McLellan were blessed with a baby girl earlier on July 21st. Khawaja took to Twitter and shared the news of the child’s birth on Friday. The 33-year-old had tied the knot with Rachel in April 2018 at Sunshine Coast.
In February earlier this year, Khawaja had shared a post to announce that the couple is expecting a baby. On July 21st, they welcomed their first child.
Khawaja, who had made his Test debut in 2011, has 2887 runs in 44 Tests, which includes eight centuries and 14 half-centuries. In 40 ODIs, he has scored 1554 runs. He has only played nine T20Is and has scored 241 runs.
He made it to Australia’s 26-member training squad too.
