MS Dhoni tests negative for COVID19, to reach Chennai soon

Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni will be joining the CSK’s conditioning camp at the Chepauk soon.

The Indian wicketkeeper had undergone the mandatory Coronavirus test and it was negative.

He took the test along with teammate Monu Kumar Singh at a Ranchi hospital, sources told IANS.

Earlier it had been revealed that Rajasthan Royals’ fielding coach Dishant Yagnik has tested positive for coronavirus. Also, Indian cricketer Karun Nair recovered from the virus recently.

The test was undertaken keeping in mind that the team members need to assemble in Mumbai next week for their flight to the UAE.

CSK will have a camp in Chennai behind closed doors and the team will travel to UAE.

IPL will begin on September 19th. While the schedule is yet to be confirmed, it is most likely that CSK will take on defending champions MI in the first match.
