Stan Wawrinka win Prague Challenger tournament

Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka won the Prague Challenger Tournament after defeating Aslan Karatsev of Russia 7-6 (7/2), 6-4 on his return to action after a six-month break.

Wawrinka’s last match before this tournament came in February at Acapulco where he lost in the Quarterfinals.

In March, the Tennis world was put to halt due to coronavirus pandemic. However, the US Open will take place as planned from August 31st. However, Wawrinka had decided to skip the tournament and he will be playing in the French Open which will take place in the month of September.

Most of the players including the defending champion Rafa Nadal have decided to skip the US Open due to health concerns.
