Arya Rajendran is all set to become the youngest mayor in India, will take over the Thiruvanathapuram.
She is currently the ward councillor from Mudavanmugal.
Arya, a BSc Maths student from All Saints College, is a member of the SFI State Committee, a member of the CPM Kesavadev Road Branch Committee and the State President of the Balajanasangham.
She is the daughter of Rajendran, an electrician, and Sreelatha, an LIC agent.
