Crazy Mohan dies at 67!

First, it was Girish Karnad, now, it’s ‘Crazy’ Mohan. Two of the renowned artists who have contributed so much to the art is now will be entertaining heaven.

‘Crazy’ Mohan suffered from the heart attack on Monday afternoon and was taken to Kauvery hospital. Unfortunately, the treatment didn’t work.

It is indeed a huge loss for the Tamil industry as ‘Crazy’ Mohan was one of the very few writers with an excellent humour who used witty one-liners to make us laugh.

He was a Mechanical Engineer but his love was with the art and chose theatre when he was young.

He added ‘crazy’ to his name after his famous play ‘Crazy Thieves in Palavakkam’ in order to avoid confusion with a coworker who had the same name.

In 1979, he started his own creations named Crazy Creations and has done a lot of dramas. His ‘Chocolate Krishna’ was one of the biggest hits and he performed the same for more than 500 times.

His works as the writer to Kamal Haasan’s movies are often credited as the epic and is enjoyable even now.

This really is a big loss for the Tamil industry because not in this generation we are going to witness someone as witty as Crazy Mohan. It’s truly an end of an era.
