Novak Djokovic wins Australian Open 2021

World Number one Novak Djokovic defeated Daniil Medvedev to win his 18th Grand Slam title.

His 9th Australian Open title came against an opponent who was having a great run and was on a 20 matches winning streak.

Djokovic began well by breaking Medvedev early but the latter broke back to keep it even. Later, Djokovic took the first set by 7-5.

Since then, he didn’t have to do too much as Medvedev came up with multiple unforced errors, broke his bat in frustration as well.

For Medvedev, he did have his moments when he pushed Djokovic to an extent but the latter was too good on the surface he loves the most.

Soon, Djokovic found the way to take the next two set 6-2, 6-2.
