South Africa’s winning run continues as they have defeated India in the final ODI as well to take the series 4-1.

Yet again, it was South Africa who made India to bat first and the latter had no answers for the bowlers initially. Priya Punia, Smriti Mandhana and Punam Raut got out early, allowed the captain and vice-captain to join hands in the middle.

Raj and Kaur added an important partnership and when they were looking good, Kaur injured her left leg and had to walk back.

After Kaur’s injury, India had no one to support Raj from the other end. Raj had managed to score yet another fifty, ended the innings with 79* from 104 balls.

India then ended with 188 runs from their 50 overs. For South Africa, Nadine de Klerk had three wickets and Shangese, Sekhukune had two each.

In return, Lee-less team had lost early wickets, thanks to Gayakwad and then Hemalatha’s ripper to dismiss Luus.

The debutant Prathyusha had a wicket as well. However, Mignon Du Preez and Anne Bosch changed the course of the course of the game, added a brilliant partnership, got to their fifties respectively. In the end, the team went on to reach the target in the 49th over and won the match by five wickets.
