Khel Ratna for Deepa Malik, Bajrang Punia; Arjuna for 19 others

Deepa Malik who became the first Indian athlete to win Paralympics medal when she won the silver medal in 2016 will be awarded Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award along with the wrestler Bajrang Punia.

For Arjuna Award, 19 sports stars including the cricketers Poonam Yadav and Ravi Jadeja has been nominated.
