Just Rafa things

Rafa does it. Rafa does it once again. Rafa does that thing that put him ahead of every other player may be equal to Roger and Novak. The thing keeps him going. The thing is something he lives for. The thing what you call as just Rafa things.

He fights. He sweats. He wins and loses battles but kills himself physically to win the war. He runs. He hits winners from nowhere but at times, misses an easy ball. He moves to win the next.

Put him against the wall. Put him against the ball machine. Put him at a brutal surface. Rafa would still turn up. Rafa would still play like he is winning. Rafa would find a way to get through that because you know, just Rafa things.

Rafa cries. Rafa cries as he falls in joy. Rafa cries when the crowd roars. Rafa cries when the anthem plays. Rafa cries and still look beautifully gracious. May be Roger and Novak looks equally gracious but Rafa’s has something that attracts you. Attracts someone who is looking out for inspiration. Roger and Novak normally win. It is like they are born to do that, but for Rafa, he is a fighter. A warrior. Maybe that’s why he is super inspirational.

Rafa roars. When going gets tougher, Rafa happens. He manages a way to pull things off, gets better as he roars. He lives on the roars that the crowd feeds him. He lives for the ‘Vamos’.

Rafa wins. There is no better delight than watching a champion being gracious to his opponents after defeat. Rafa is a champion. He falls, he rises, appreciates his opponent, inspires them to bring their best to the court and makes sure he has nice things to tell about them after winning. His victory bite is sweetest. The trophy yearns for it.

Tell him he is the king, he would say no. Tell him he is the best, he would tell Federer and Djokovic are. Tell him he is getting closer to Federer, he would say that he loves that even though he doesn’t lose his sleep over it. Tell him he is the greatest, he would ask us to stop being rubbish. Such is Rafa. Such is Rafa things.

People can hate him but there is so much he brings to tennis that nobody can ignore him and the amount of positivity he brings to the court. There is going to a huge void when Federer, Rafa walks out of the game. The day isn’t very far and it is time that we cherish all the battles both the players had and we must cherish each and every moment of their game. Thank you, Rafa ♥️
