Possibly one of the best knocks from Veda Krishnamurty. She was under pressure and had to take up the responsibility in the absence of Kaur and she did it in style with a calm and composed knock. This knock certainly is a statement going forward.
India then went on to score 134 in their 20 overs.
In return, India once again had their spinners coming to the party with Anuja Patil picking up two wickets and gave away just three runs in three overs. Pooja Vastrakar, Harleen Deol, Poonam Yadav, Radha Yadav picked up a wicket each.
West Indies managed only 73 in their 20 overs giving India a massive win of 61 runs.
India also became the first team to whitewash a team 5-0 in bilateral in Women’s T20Is.
Unfortunately for West Indies, they were dismantled by Australia followed by India at home now.
