The shoot for Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan began recently in Thailand and the official cast list has been released comprising of Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prabhu, Rahman, Sarathkumar, Kishore, Ashwin Kakkamanu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha and Aishwarya Lekshmi.
Now, according to the reports on an online portal, Jayam Ravi will be playing the title role of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ whose name is Arulmozhi Varman who later on becomes the great Raja Raja Cholan 1.
AR Rahman will be composing the music for the movie and produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies.
Jayam Ravi was last seen in Comali and will be starring in Bhoomi next.
